Pregones Theater & Lincoln Center of Out Doors/La Casita Arts & Neighborhood Come Together

Pregones Theater’s 33^rd Season kicks off with its Annual BLOCK PARTY on August 12^th, partnering once again with Lincoln Center Out of Doors/La Casita for an entire day of FREE outdoor/indoor performances. World class performers, the inauguration of Pregones’ garden, a South Bronx Community Association’s Yard Sale; Lincoln Hospital Health Van and crafts galore are some of the treats awaiting all our visitors. The indoors preview of Pregones’ 33^rd Season, and the inauguration of our brand new Steinway piano brings it all together.

The performance highlights include the most diverse line-up of poets - slam, hip-hop, Def,  Mayan, Last—and an impressive roster of global musicians exploring the crossroads of tradition and cutting edge. Musical performances by: Gerard Edery, KiT (Kuenta I Tambu) (U.S. Debut), Mireya Ramos & 809 Ladies Band, Tulali, and Said Damir.
