Bronx Piano Sundays is a series like no other that shines a spotlight on our beloved Steinway & Sons Grand Piano with a line up of talented pianists and thrilling repertoire. From Beethoven, Chopin and Rachmaninoff to Jazz, Afro Cuban Jazz, Salsa and Timba; March 2016's Bronx Piano Sundays promisses to be an exciting month for piano music lovers.

Turkish born jazz pianist Meral Guneyman's talents have won her numerous competitions and allowed her to perform around the globe as a soloist and with symphony orchestras in her pursuit in the advancement of contemporary music."Ms. Guneyman has an imposing technique and a delicate feel for timbre”, Bernard Holland of the New York Times; "Meral Guneyman possesses an exquisite touch, immense power and a formidable technique", Peter Quinn of Jazzwise, London.

Dayramir Gonzalez
DAYRAMIR GONZALEZ – SUNDAY, MARCH 13 @ 3PM | FREE
Bronx Piano Sunday

First Cuban national to receive the Berklee College of Music presidential scholarship with which he obtained his dual major degree in jazz composition and piano performance. Gonzalez has performed with such Cuban and international artists as Chucho Valdez, Bebo Valdez, Ramon Valle, Omara Portuondo, Teresa Caturla, Ignacio Berroa, Eddie Palmieri, Larry Harlow, George Garzone, Christian McBride, Anat Cohen and Dave Liebman, and has collaborated as the pianist for the groups Klimax and Habana de Primera.

Carlos Cuevas
CARLOS CUEVAS - SUNDAY, MARCH 20 @ 3PM | FREE
Bronx Piano Sunday

Born in England and raised in Venezuela, Carlos holds a Bachelor in Music from the University of North Texas and a Master in Music from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, The City University of New York, where he became the 2015 recipient of the prestigious Sir Roland Hanna Memorial Jazz Award. His versatility has been put to work with the likes of NEA Jazz Master Hubert Laws, as well as Bette Midler, Nestor Torres, The Los Angeles Symphonic Jazz Orchestra, & The New York Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas.
