Workshop will be conducted in Spanish.

Voiceover Motivator Manny Herrera presents a voiceover technique workshop for the experienced actor who wishes to fine-tune his/her technique. The workshop covers diction and voicing in Spanish; interpretation, rhythm and narration; professional audition and quick studytechniques. Previous HOLAvoiceover workshop students invited. Applicants should supply USB flash drive to record work progress. Optional production of demo tape available at additional cost.

One-Day Casting Director Workshop with Juan Carlos Félix

ONE-DAY CASTING SEMINAR
Actors must come prepared with their headshot, resume, reel (if they have one) and a short monologue (no more than one minute in Spanish or English). The seminar will have three sections. First, a question-and-answer period with Juan Pablo Félix and his casting assistant. Second, monologue reviews in which you will be rated on your performance. Third, each student will have three minutes with Juan Pablo, one-on-one, to present his/her materials (reel if you have one, headshot, and resume). English- and Spanish-speaking actors welcome.

Juan Pablo Félix is an award-winning Colombian theater and film director and casting director. He is best known for casting the Oscar-nominated film María Full of Grace and the casting director/on-set coaching for "Los viajes del viento (Wind Journeys)", "Satanás", "La Pasión de Gabriel" and "Pablo Escobar: El Patrón Del Mal". He specializes in working with Latino actors and non-actors in film and television projects. Juan Pablo has been voted Top Guest Professor at the acclaimed Escuela Internacional de Cine y TV in San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba since 2010. He is a Fulbright Scholar with a B.A in Cinema Direction from La Universidad Nacional in Bogotá, Colombia and a Master of Fine Arts in Theater Direction from Columbia University.

Menos es Más (Less is More) workshop from Juan Pablo Félix

The acclaimed workshop comes back to NYC!

"Menos es Más"
 (Spanish for "Less is More") is an Acting and Directing for the Camera workshop that consists of three (3) student directors and nine (9) actors.

Together, actors and directors will shoot three (3) scenes over the course of five (5) days, with a professional director of photography. Scenes are then edited and screened for an in-depth critique byJuan Pablo Félix, the instructor. Woven into the practice are various discussions and lectures that invite the professional to further explore his/her technique. Professionals walk away feeling challenged and better prepared to work collaboratively on set.
