An exhibit that features a curated selection of photographic reproductions, newspaper articles, and front pages from El Diario/La Prensa, thematically designed to highlight the Hispanic social, cultural, economic, and political growth in New York City, from the start of the so called "Hispanic Decade", to September 11th, 2001.

Presented in celebration of El Diario/La Prensa's 100th Anniversary.

In The Headlines is presented in partnership with El Diario/La Prensa, the King Juan Carlos I of Spain Center at NYU, Columbia University's Center for the Studies of Ethnicity and Race (CSER),  the Rare Books and Manuscript Library at Columbia University, Columbia's School of the Arts and its Office of Community Outreach and Education; andHostos Community College, with collaboration from El Museo del Barrio, and Bronx Council on the Arts.  WNYC New York Public Radio is the proud Media Sponsor.

In The Headlines will be on display Sept. 25th-Dec. 20th, 2013. Simultaneous satellite exhibits with additional selections will also take place at CSER at Columbia University's main campus, Columbia University Medical Center, and Hostos Community College.
